베트남 전쟁에 금수저의 자식들이 입대는 안 하고 전부다 면제 받는 꼴을 보고 만든 죽창노래다.
베트남 전쟁으로부터 무려 50여년의 시간이 흘렀음에도 반도의 어느 국가에선 가사의 내용이 적용된다고 한다. 그 반도의 어느 국가가 무슨 국가인지는 따로 언급하지 않겠다.
베트남 전쟁을 다룬 여러 매체에 자주 나오는 노래라서 듣자마자 바로 알아 듣을 것이다.
영화 다이하드 4.0과 배틀쉽의 엔딩 크레딧 음악으로도 채용되었다.
